Favourite images from the Peaks Shoot

These are the images I have chosen as my favourite and most successful from the peak district shoot, I have chosen a few from each category, and although these are my favourites there are still many others that I will consider while conducting experimentation.

This shoot was more about the feeling you get from northern soul, although we have a few dancing shots we wanted more to concentrate on how the location is the perfect background to show the idea of being taken from reality and to a place where you are alone with the thoughts and feelings given by every aspect of a northern soul night. The openers and the size of the peak district is a great symbol for being surrounded by no distractions, as many people will go to the peak district for walks to get away from the busyness of the city and experience the fresh air and peace that the peak district brings, this is what made it the perfect location to bring escapism to life through photography.

Many of the images below show the bond between the band, their closeness was the perfect situation to use to our strengths for the shoot, this meant the were comfortable doing the poses we needed and also you can see through the images that the friendship is natural and not staged, which is perfect as though the images are posed and composed how we wanted the atmosphere given by each image shows how close they all are, much like friendships made through soul music.
