Initial Northern soul photshoot ideas 

These are the initial ideas I had for the project during the first few days of research and also a few that were added after doing a bit more in depth research.
They are just rough notes I though were worth including to show bit about my thought process during the early days of the project. Aspects from a few of these ideas were taken forward and used to fully develop the final concept.

- Photoshoot in peak district or something with a good aesthetic back ground, and make the models dance to the music    while photographing  

- Original Northern Soul clothing in an iconic sheffield setting

- Modernised northern soul styling in music venue settings

- Mod and northern soul style, original or modernised, dancing shots

- Leadmill during night/ maida vale, takes images in the crowd

- old and young models, northern soul scene from then and indie scene from now 

- Clothing only shots/ close up of outfit details 

- Talking in the video, eg ask models; what does music mean to you? what do you feel when you listen to music? 

- Any of these backdrops but with fluorescent lighting as a way to show the anthetemine fuelled drive behind the scene

- The idea that northern soul let you be with yourself, no talking needed just you, the feeling and the music
